Longtime Golden Boy Promotions executive Eric Gomez was promoted to president of the company on Wednesday, CEO Oscar De La Hoya announced. Gomez, who had been senior vice president, has been a close friend of De La Hoyas since they were kids growing up in Los Angeles.
