ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers have honored Bobby Jones half-century in baseball with a first pitch and a sweet ride.Jones, a former outfielder and coach who is now the teams replay coordinator, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Texas played its AL Division Series opener against Toronto on Thursday.That came a day after the Rangers surprised Jones with a red 1965 convertible Ford Mustang, which was driven onto the field before their workout. That was the model car Jones had before leaving for a 14-month tour of duty in Vietnam in December 1969.Jones is retiring after the playoffs that will end his 50th season in baseball.
