SAN FRANCISCO -- The?Giants?have placed right-hander Jake Peavy on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain.The move announced Saturday is retroactive to Aug. 21. San Francisco recalled right-hander Albert Suarez from Triple-A Sacramento to start Saturday nights game against the Atlanta Braves in Peavys place.Suarez allowed three runs on five hits in a 3-1 Giants loss. He struck out five and walked two in 4? innings pitched.?For the first three innings all his pitches were crisp and hitting their spots, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said of Suarez.
